Water water everywhere but …

The North West region of New South Wales hasn’t had good rain all summer however we are fortunate in Tamworth that our water supply dam, Chaffey, upgrading was completed before the prolonged dry spell hit.

This doesn’t mean we are laughing in the face of drought though.

A recent visit to the dam foreshores confirmed the receding water level and it is disturbing the number of trees that are dying just meters away from the water.  Admittedly some of these would be under water in good times but the lack of grass or ground cover and brown shoreline a little surreal given the large body of water it borders.
